Gold Coast United – Up Up and Away
Up Up and Away.
The old Superman line could well apply to GCU and our Owners ambitions. Miron Blieberg with the help of Clive Palmer’s cash and Private jets has been around the globe searching for Football Talent. 3 Brazillians and a Dutchman are now part of the Squad. But the biggest catch has been Jason Cullina. PSV regular and Socceroo Regular has signed with GCU for 3 years.
Absolutely fantastic news for GCU and the A-League. Click on the links for the stories. Here is our Logo for the new franchise.
As a FAN, I am really excited about next season. I have found a really good forum to contribute to as well. There is also a guy organising a supporters club meeting. If you are on the Coast and want to be part of the first meeting, head over to The Dog and Parrot on Monday February 2nd at 7pm. I will be there to hear what Clive has to say.
Cheers

Thanks for the invitation for all to come along to the public meeting on 2nd Feb, Tezza; just to confirm your use of the word “official” is not mine or if I have used it anywhere put it down to over excitement…using the word suggests we have some sort of attachment or formally approved connection to the football club and that is not the case. What I do hope is that it will become the “best” Supporters Club – of any code! The greatest team the world has ever seen….
I had a good chat with David Lewis at the Bulletin today and there will be a piece on it this week. Hopefully some of my ideas will come out in that and I will put forward some more at the meeting. I am very aware that the new committee, when formed, will consider all suggestions put forward and will ultimately decide which to implement – It is not going to be my call.
I look forward to enjoying some special nights at Skilled Park, watching the team win well and enjoying a special atmosphere of being part of the best supporters club in the world!
See you on Monday week.

Cheers Clive, I suppose I just guessed that is what you wanted. Thanks for setting the record straight. I have amended the post.
