12 Months On

On March 30 will be my first birthday. I satrted with a Post “Want to Make a Million Dollars” It was about how I could make money from a Blog site if I could write good content and often. Well after 12 months I have written 96 posts and have $21.94 in My Google Adsense account. I can’t even get the money until i reach $100.

So overall, a pretty piss poor effort.

But i did renew my site and hosting so I guess I should do something with it.

What I need to do is stop being scared of what you think of me and my writing. I have had some compliments on my writing style (of which I never knew I had), but maybe they were just being kind.

My mate Brendon wrote this week about his 4 secrets to his success.

  • Huge Ego
  • Ignorance
  • Luck
  • Competitiveness

Of these I have NO Ego, and a moderate competitiveness, the other 2 I am all good. Basically the Ego thing is to unfailingly believe in yourself. Maybe I should try that.

    mate as you know i’m not a soccer fan but i check each saturday to see what you have to say, maybee try writing about something you know bugger all about to get some bites,maybe v8supercars youve got teams in your area youve got tracks in your area and there are some pretty ladies eg, Jim Beam girls promo girls and some great cars to take photos of and put on your site,i know its a football site but something different now and then may help you make another dollar. I notice youve got a link to a motorsport site.
    anyone else got any sugestions for the Short,Bald,Middleaged parent HA!HA!HA!

    Yep, I’m with Geoff. Write about something you know stuff all about because then you won’t worry about screwing up.

    I’ll help you compile a list of possible subjects you know nothing about:

    Being tall
    Being good looking
    Having a full head of hair
    Being able to see you feet

    Mate, this list could go on for a while…….
