Thanks for your comment Jeffro. I dont agree at all with it though.

The youth team at GCU are a fantastic side of young blokes and I go and watch them sometimes as well. Not going to a GCU game hurts the game on the coast more than not having a 100% side of youth talent. If you want a pathway for the youth on the coast and for football to grow in this country you have to support it in my opinion.

Hay folks,Its easy to work out why no one supports gold coast united,Firstly look at your youth side and count the number of locals playing!,i believe you even imported youth players to our country! to take spots of our LOCAL youth.The gold coast has local talent but unfortunally everything is politicle and only names are helped and selected not players,So why support a team that supports everyone else bar LOCALS,I personally have not or will not attend a united game as football on the coast has become crap compared to years that have passed,five years or so ago i watched a Burliegh heads side play that would spank united today,Only one of those players acually plays for united today.
So why should we support United!!

Ideas Woman, the ticket prices were an issue to start with but were addressed to a very affordable price. The games are played on Fridays, Sat or Sun and are scheduled by FFA and Fox Sports. We play at Skilled Park where the Titans play, and as we play in Summer the issue of Titans and the future AFL teams are not too great. It is a public perception that the club must address.

Terry, what are the ticket prices? When do the games play? Maybe this has to do with membership? Is the home ground too far to travel too?

Maybe there is too much competition – Titans, GCFC [soon], Brisbane Lions, Gold Coast Blaze.

Quality stuff mate!

I agree with allowing staff to do their job and giving them the resources to do so.

Also the richest man in aus crying poor, was a real buzz kill.

Another problem I had was the power that be trying to jutify why the crowds are bad and not try to improve them!
